Hello and thank you for visiting my website. I am Dina Oxley, owner and founder of Per Lei Jewelry. I would like to give you a bit of background on myself and how I started my business. I have been a resident of Monmouth County, New Jersey my whole life. After graduating high school in 1996, I enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City to pursue an education in Merchandising Management. After obtaining a degree, I began to work in the fashion industry. I worked as an assistant buyer for a menswear company in New York City. I loved working in the fashion industry and enjoyed my job very much. In my spare time I began to design and bead jewelry for myself and my family. Compliments were given to us on the pieces we were wearing and I began to get requests to make jewelry for other people. I then decided to start my own business in October of 2002. I named my business "Per Lei." This means "for you" in Italian and having an Italian background, I just loved it. I began making semi-precious beaded jewelry for women. A few months later, I realized that the only woman in my family that was missing a piece of "Per Lei" jewelry was my niece Marina, who was just a few months old. I made her a rose quartz bracelet and my sister loved it. Then a few of Marina's friends wanted one too! I then decided to add a custom children's collection to my business using swarovski products in 2003. This collection really took off. Everyone wanted a name bracelet for their child or for a special gift. I even began to sell this collection to retail stores in New Jersey. That same year I was getting married and of course designed bracelets for my wedding party. I then decided to create a bridal collection designed with swarovski products. Through word of mouth, I was making jewelry for weddings all over New Jersey and advertising my collection at Bridal Shows. In March of 2006 my husband and I were very blessed and welcomed a beautiful baby girl, Nicolette. Of course the minute she came home, her hospital bracelet came off and a Per Lei bracelet went on! Nicolette has a bracelet for every occasion and one to match every outfit she wears. In December of 2007 we were blessed once again with another beautiful baby girl, Gabriella Rose. Nicolette is now teaching her little sister how to wear her jewelry well!!
As my business grew I began to add new collections such as christening and communion specialty jewelry along with Rosary Beads using Swarovski products as well. I also designed some unique gift items such as bookmarks, wine charms, key chains & cell phone charms.
